The Lincoln Room at
The Federal House Bed & Breakfast

At the top of the grand stairway, the Lincoln Room was the original bedroom in the 1815 home. This spacious room has a queen canopy bed as well as a day bed with trundle and can sleep up to four people. The chaise longue and easy chair provide a cozy spot to curl up by the fireplace or to watch an old movie on the TV/VCR. The private bath, once a sitting room adjacent to the master suite, has antique light fixtures, a tub and shower, a beautiful converted chestnut dresser as a vanity, and original watercolors by a local artist. By the time William Seward joined President Lincoln's cabinet, the home was no longer owned by Abijah Miller. But with its blue and white toile wallpaper, the antique marble top dresser and candle lit vanity, this stately and elegant room is purely presidential.

$189 Standard summer weekend rate, double occupancy. Special event weekends may be higher. Winter, midweek, and three-night specials are available.
