Reservations
At the time of your reservation, we request a 50% deposit by check to guarantee your stay. If time does not allow for postal delivery, your room may be held by credit card. The balance is due during your stay.
Cancellations
In the event your plans change after the reservation is made, the deposit, less a $25 administration fee, will be refunded for cancellations 14 days prior to the arrival date. Within 14 days of the arrival date, guests are responsible for the full cost of the intended stay unless we are able to rebook all nights of the reservation. All changes to confirmed reservations are subject to a $25 administration fee.
Special Events
Certain weekends are especially busy at The Federal House and we recognize the importance of these events in your life. Because of the high demand for accommodations during these times, our responsibility to our guests requires extra effort on our part. Therefore cancellations during these weekends present special hardships and we do our best to ensure that reservations during these dates are secure.
Special Events reservations
require a nonrefundable 50% deposit by check at the time of booking with a credit card hold for the balance. Balance will be paid 30 days before arrival date, 60 days for graduation weekends. A $50 cancellation fee applies to special events. Special events include graduation weekends, parent weekends, student return, reunions, weddings, and events where the whole inn is reserved.

Check in time is from 3pm to 6 pm. (Please let us know in advance if other arrangements are needed.)

All guest rooms are located on the second floor; we are not handicapped accessible.

We welcome children over seven years old.

Payment may be made by cash, check, travelers' check, Visa, or Master Card.

Rates are subject to state and county taxes.

Rates are for double occupancy. Additional guests are welcome, for an additional $35 per person per night.

Sorry, but we do not accommodate pets.

We are a smoke free inn. Designated areas outside may be used for smoking.

Guests who smoke or bring pets inside the inn will be charged an additional three nights' stay plus actual cleaning costs for rugs, draperies, and bedding to clear the room of allergens for the next guests. Hotel costs for subsequent guests who may be displaced as a result will also be borne by offending guests.
